Renovation of Tata Colin Square

The Tata Colin Square in the district of Coronie is being renovated into a modern information center for tourists. The Ministry of Transport, Communication, and Tourism (TCT)/the Directorate of Tourism, in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Works (OW), the district commissioner of Coronie, Maikel Winter, and several private companies, has worked on this plan, with the work starting on July 26, 2024. The aim is to promote tourism in Suriname by placing such information centers at strategic locations nationwide. The launch of this project was attended by Ministers Uraiqit Ramsaran of TCT and Riad Nurmohamed of OW, who together unveiled the information board.
